Slow and Steady

Business has definitely slowed since the pre-Christmas rush, but with a full-time teaching job in addition to taking pictures, this is a perfect pace!

Today I had the chance to take some maternity pictures with a husband and wife who are both big UT fans . . . and hoping their little girl will be, too! This little bundle is coming in April and we all can't wait to meet her. "B" and "C", here's your sneak peek!

AND

part of what made this session so special is that we are expecting our first baby this August! It made me that much more excited about what is to come for us. Here's the very first sneak peek of the Tripple baby!!

Is this really January?

It's hard to believe it's January and the start of 2009 . . . not to mention we had three days near 80 this week! On one of these glorious days I had the chance to capture the "B" family and their precious two-year-old, "A". I have to admit, I was a bit apprehensive about the whole thing because two-year-olds are, well . . . . challenging to say the least! I usually spend more time chasing them than I do taking pictures! :) But, this little doll was fantastic. We had a great time and captured some really precious smiles. Enjoy your sneak peek, "B" family.

Love is in the Air

Of course . . . it figures, we've had two days of weather in the high 70's, and the day I have an engagement shoot scheduled, the temperature drops 30 degrees! However, "J" and "J" were great sports and we had loads of fun - despite the cold weather. They were so laid back, easy going, and obviously in love. I felt privileged to capture this time in their life! Take a look:

Happy New Year!

Well, we're back from a little holiday hiatus and I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas. We just returned from a midwest tour visiting family. It was fantastic to see everyone again! However, we are definitely happy to be back in sunny Austin.

My first shoot of the new year was actually a re-shoot for a little guy that we tried to capture when he was four days old and he wouldn't have any of it! He's now about three weeks and was an absolute dream - I could just eat him up! "L", I think you'll be really pleased with this go around. Here's a sneak peek (Amy, thanks so much for the cocoon - I LOVE it!) :

So sorry for the wait, "E"!

I know you've been anxiously awaiting this "E" . . . and I'm sorry it's so delayed . . . however, 'tis the season for pictures and everything else!

This is the THIRD time I've done pictures for this little cutie . . . and I think she gets cuter every time! It was super windy the day we shot, but we managed to find a little alcove tucked away from the winds. Here's a sneak peek of her nine month pics:

Today after church I headed over to the park for a quick family shoot. The boys are a bundle of energy and have adorable smiles! Take a look at the moments we captured:

Breakfast with Santa and Miss "J"

Wow - today was busy, but I loved every minute of it! I spent the morning at the school where I teach and I promoted Twelve Stones Photography at our Breakfast with Santa. Despite the fact that Santa's pants were much too short . . . I had a great time talking with people and showing them what I do on the side. I sold several Alphabet Art creations, booked three sessions, and handed out a bunch of business cards - I'd call it a success! Thanks for those of you who stopped by today.

Then, this afternoon I drove out to Lago Vista for "J"'s senior photo shoot. She and her mom had picked out the location and it was perfect! Not to mention, both ladies were stunning. Here's the sneak peek:
